| The Belleayre Lodge is located in the beautiful Catskill Mountain State Park, in the small hamlet of Pine Hill, New York, in Ulster county, only one mile from Delaware county, on beautiful Route 28. There are less than two hundred residents total in this friendly and quiet village.
New York City is 135 miles away, Kingston is 34 miles away and the closest airport is Stewart International Airport (70 miles away).
There is a Trailways Bus stop in the village of Pine Hill, only a quarter mile from the lodge, an easy walk. Contact Trailways at 1-800-858-8555 for schedules and prices.
By car, we are just off of Route 28, in the village of Pine Hill. To get there, take Exit 19 (Kingston) off the New York State Thruway. Follow the signs to Route 28 West and Pine Hill. Follow 28 West for 34 miles, Pine Hill is the next village after Big Indian. Look for the Pine Hill village sign and turn left there.
Go down Main Street. Just past the Pine Hill Community Center and before the El Rey Restaurant on the left, turn into the main village parking lot. At the back of the parking lot, you will see the sign and driveway up to the Belleayre Lodge. Please save this important part of the directions--most folks find Pine Hill easily, but you need to remember to go to the back of the parking lot!
You can do grocery shopping in Boiceville 16 miles after you get off the Thruway on your way up to us. (IGA supermarket ) Or you can check in and go shopping in Margaretville 12 miles to our West . Both stores usually close at 9 pm and some days even earlier ! Your best best for quick stuff is the Gas Station (Hess or Mobile on your way up) They are open Late .
There are several great gourmet food places on Route 28 that you will pass on your way here, as well: Hansen Caviar and Smoked Fish just outside Kingston on the left; Organic Coffee and Cafe just past that on the right; then, just east of Boiceville, the Bread Alone Bakery, on a little road that parallels Rt. 28 on the right. However these places are open only during the day.
