Belleayre Beach at Pine Hill Lake

During the summer, Belleayre Beach at Pine Hill Lake offers lifeguard-protected swimming, canoe, paddle boat, and kayak rentals. This pristine lake has a large sandy beach perfect for taking in the sun amid the beautiful mountain scenery. Great for grilling out, picnicking, and outdoor games. Our lodge is located in the watershed/NYC reservoir area. Esopus Creek feeds the lake and is tightly controlled which means the water is extremely clean. This gorgeous facility is a 10-minute walk from our property. http://www.belleayre.com/summer/lake.htm

River Tubing

The Town Tinker Tube Rental in Phoenicia offers a unique, family-friendly way to spend the day: whitewater tubing down Esopus Creek. Affectionately referred to as "Nature's Waterpark" the creek offers a challenging and exciting inner tube course down natural rocks and obstacles. It comes recommended only for those over the age of 14.

Canoe/Kayaking

Nearest to Belleayre Lodge, the Pepacton Reservoir is one of the few NYC reservoirs that accommodate recreational boating from sunrise to sunset starting the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and ends Columbus Day. Non-motorized boats, kayaks (at least 9' in length), canoes, and rowboats (at least 11'5" in length) are allowed. Boats must be steam cleaned and have a cleaning certificate.

Outfitters for canoes and kayaks can get you set up with all you need for a day of fun on the Pepacton Reservoir or even the Delaware River. Try contacting:
